Chautauqua Lake Child Care Center

Chautauqua Lake Child Care Center, Inc. (CLCCC) is a not-for-profit, community-based childcare program functioning to enhance the development of the whole child in a safe, healthy, positive, and nurturing learning environment that facilitates children to grow, discover, and learn through a variety of age and developmental appropriate experiences.

CLCCC is located in Mayville, New York and serves the Chautauqua County community with our services: day child care for children ages 6 weeks – 5 years and before/after school care and holiday and summer programming for children ages 5 – 12 years. CLCCC is open Monday through Friday from 7AM to 6PM. CLCCC currently has an average of eighty-five children attending.

CLCCC employs 20 staff (highly qualified). CLCCC believes that it takes a well-trained, dedicated and caring childcare team to present and maintain a quality program for all of our children and the families it serves. All Head Teachers have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

The mission of the CLCCC is to provide a loving, secure relationship with trained caregivers, to offer the best possible environmental conditions and materials with which to explore and experiment, to show the children that their culture and language are valued, and to have the primary caregivers working in harmony with each other. The center provides a curriculum that encourages children to be actively involved in the learning process. Children experience a variety of developmentally appropriate activities through the use of various materials and activities. Each child is encouraged to pursue his/her own interests in the context of life in the community and the world. The curriculum focuses on the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development of each child.
