YMCA Buffalo Niagara is a charitable, community-based organization committed to providing programs designed to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

YMCA Buffalo Niagara welcomes all people regardless of age, ability, ethnicity, race, faith, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation and seeks to create positive community impact in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

What We Do

Locally founded in 1852, YMCA Buffalo Niagara is a charitable, community based organization committed to providing programs designed to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA's focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility is reflected in the variety of programs that are offered to all ages and abilities. A not for profit organization, YMCA Buffalo Niagara serves over 100,000 people annually through six membership branches and four camps throughout Western New York, as well as at over 50 community based program sites.

Programs include pre-school playgroups, education enrichment and development, instructional and recreational sports, before and after school child care, summer day and resident camp, instructional and recreational swimming, group exercise, land and water fitness, wellness and recreation, family programs, and special events.

Gifts to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign help fund vital programs and services that empower youth, improve community health, and provide support to our community’s most vulnerable. The YMCA's Access for All financial aid initiative ensures equitable opportunities for people of all income levels to benefit from in YMCA membership and programs.
