Jericho Road Community Health Center provides primary medical care (and some other specialized medical services such as behavioral health, pharmacy services and a dental clinic) for all individuals, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center and a Patient-Centered Medical Home. We have also achieved the highest level of recognition (Level 3) through the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
In addition to providing excellent medical care, we have developed a wide array of community development programs that seek to address the needs of those we serve more holistically. We offer culturally and linguistically appropriate programming with interpreters of over 24 languages and/or dialects and we engage a very diverse staff that represents the ethnicities we serve. This staffing model has allowed us to form a bridge of trust with Buffalo's ethnic communities. Our programs are:
- Vive Shelter - temporary housing and legal support for asylum seekers
- Hope Refugee Drop-In Center - non-traditional, client-driven case management for post resettled refugees
Finally, Jericho Road also has several global medical sites. Currently, we operate three health centers in Sierra Leone, one in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and a medical health center in Nepal. These clinics provide primary medical care, maternal healthcare, and some surgical procedures for anyone, particularly those without the ability to pay for care in other facilities.
