Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership

Who We Are

The Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership is an educational program administered by the University at Buffalo, Buffalo State College, the Buffalo Public Schools, and the Buffalo Museum of Science. Directed by Dr. Joseph A. Gardella, Jr. of UB, ISEP consists of a team of professionals focused on providing STEM-related educational opportunities in the Buffalo Public Schools. ISEP is also made possible by a number of corporate, educational, and community-based sponsors.

What We Do

The goal of the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Partnership is to improve STEM education in the Buffalo Public Schools. ISEP targets middle-school students, especially in underprivileged and underrepresented communities. By introducing hands-on learning activities during a critically formative period for students ISEP seeks to make the greatest possible impact. ISEP also provides professional development for teachers, Professional Development Communities for parents, and career counseling for students.
