Moving Day Buffalo is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the Parkinson's Foundation WNY. This is a day devoted to movement because moving and exercise is a key attribute to fighting the symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease. Moving Day consists of a 3-mile walk around the ECC North campus and for those who may not want to walk we have a movement pavilion with various programs such as dance, Tai Chi and yoga. We have a goal to raise $100,000 this year and get as many people involved as possible!
Volunteers will be needed for set-up and break-down. We will also need people stationed on the walk as guides and with water. Volunteers will also be needed to stay back from the walk and help out with the movement pavilion and other activities happening through the day. We are asking for volunteers in shifts so we will have a morning group from 7am-10am and the afternoon group from 10am-2pm.
