Description

Please join us for a service project which is a collaboration between the Union of Black Episcopalians and Habitat for Humanity, Buffalo Saturday, September 17th - approx 9am to Noon Dorothy Collier Community Center, 118 Utica Street, Buffalo   After the Tops shooting in Buffalo, we reached out to the Dorothy Collier Community Center to see how we can help. The ED of the organization, Jetaun Jones, would like a team of volunteers to paint the interior of the main multipurpose space, clean some of the floors throughout the building, and remove some of the clutter from the basement - so they can offer additional youth programs in spaces throughout the building.   The project will be led by the Neighborhood Revitalization Manager of Habitat for Humanity Buffalo and is being funded by the Episcopal Dioceses of Western NY & Northwestern PA. Learn more about the community center here: https://www. dorothyjcolliercommunitycenter .com/   We are looking for 15 volunteers. We'll work in three teams - painting cleaning, and moving items (May require lifting and carrying things up stairs) COVID-19 safety The Community Center does not require masks; however, please feel free to wear a mask. Masks are available at the center. Everyone entering the center will receive a temperature check and will need to sign in. If you are sick, please do not report to site. Those showing symptoms will be sent home. If you are unvaccinated, you are required to wear a mask at all times. Practice physical distance when possible.
