The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a community walk supporting homeless and runaway youth across Western New York, and we are looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. Volunteering at CNOY is a meaningful way to give back, support Compass House, and make a real difference in the lives of young people in our community. Volunteer Roles Include: Route Marshals: Help guide walkers along the route, provide encouragement, and ensure participant safety Event Set-Up: Assist with tents, signage, registration areas, and event materials before the walk begins Parking Assistance: Help direct participants and ensure smooth traffic flow Clean-Up Crew: Support tear-down and site clean-up after the event concludes What to Expect: Volunteers will be outdoors for portions of the event Please dress warmly and be prepared for winter weather (hat, gloves, boots, layers recommended) Food, coffee, and water will be provided for all volunteers This is a great opportunity for individuals, groups, and companies to come together and support Compass House’s mission of serving homeless and runaway youth in WNY. Your time and dedication help ensure youth feel safe, supported, and valued. Thank you for helping us make a difference—one cold night at a time. ❄️
