Each holiday season, B Team Buffalo partners with an agency to organize a grassroots event called City of Light. The goal of the initiative is to decorate a neighborhood in the city so that it shines for the holidays. This year, volunteers will spend time decorating homes on streets near the Matt Urban Hope Center on Paderewski Drive near the Central Terminal. B Team Buffalo will also host a free winter carnival for the families in the community, providing the neighborhood children with gifts from Santa, games, prizes, crafts, as well as a community dinner. We will also gather the residents and volunteers together for a celebration and tree-lighting ceremony. Please use Google Forms to register. Registrations on VolunteerWNY will not be recognized.
Volunteers are needed for three shifts:
Outdoor decoration 9 am - 12 pm
Indoor decorating 9 am - 12 pm
and Indoor Carnival 1 pm - 4 pm
