The Beds for Buffalo project will build and furnish 100 twin beds for children in need throughout WNY. The Service Collaborative of WNY (TSC) will distribute completed beds through identified community partners that serve families surviving poverty. Volunteers will assist with the following tasks associated with each phase of the project that includes: sawing, jointing, planing, sanding, painting, installing hardware, and much more. TSC will provide the proper instruction, safety review and supervision to support the project. In addition, all personal safety devices, tools and equipment required for the project will be provided. TSC encourage all volunteers to dress accordingly for a woodworking and manufacturing environment. All volunteers must be 18+ years of age and older. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. All projects will take place at The Foundry located at 298 Northampton St, Buffalo, NY 14208. TSC requests all volunteers arrive by 8:45am as all projects begin promptly at 9:00am. We appreciate any time you can contribute to support the project. Whether that is a few hours, half day, or a full day. Your volunteerism and support is welcomed!
