Purpose/objective: Supports the ACCESS Center Service Navigator by conducting intake and assessment and family development planning with ACCESS Center visitors and scheduled participants.
Location: Belmont ACCESS Center
Key responsibilities: Support the Service Navigator to deliver strength based services and assist with evaluation of participant needs and desired outcomes. Support the Service Navigator with services delivery systems by completing and reporting program data. Support the Service Navigator through coordination and delivery of food pantry activities, including assembling food boxes and distributing store vouchers. Support the Service Navigator by making and following up on referrals for needed supportive services.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals and families, through either educational experiences, volunteer roles or past work experiences.
- Desire to support, and ability to demonstrate, an understanding and agreement with the agency vision, mission and project goals.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing in a wide variety of situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat colleagues, staff and program participants with respect.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and disseminate information garnered through training, community collaborations, and individuals for the greater good of the volunteer delegation.
- Ability to accurately assess a wide variety of situations, determining appropriate course(s) of action.
- Ability to demonstrate skills in the use of computer word processing and data entry programs.
- Ability to accept supervision.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment according to agency standard for safety.
Time commitment: To be determined
Training/support provided: ACCORD Corporation New Staff Orientation, one-to-one mentoring with program staff and managers. On-going support provided through face-to-face coaching meetings with the Service Navigator.
