Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled is seeking a Volunteer to act as a mentor to people in our Self-Advocate program. This Volunteer would provide guidance to the group regarding overall direction and advocacy efforts regionally and/or statewide. One would assist in teaching necessary skills to independently plan and facilitate self-advocacy meetings and activities. This opportunity provides mentoring and guidance to a group regarding overall direction and advocacy efforts regionally, as well as, statewide. This Volunteer will develop solid working relationships with the individuals being served and their circles of support.
Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled is a locally based non-profit providing services to developmentally disabled children and adults throughout Erie and Niagara County. Our services include residential services, habilitation services, respite care, and service coordination. We are looking for motivated and positive people to join our team.
