Massachusetts Avenue Project and GObike Buffalo are proud to host the 8th Annual Tour de Farms on Saturday September 17th, 2016. Tour de Farms is a bicycle tour of local, urban and rural farms, designed to celebrate and highlight sustainable agriculture and sustainable transportation. Massachusetts Avenue Project is dedicated to increasing access to fresh healthy food, providing enriching and economic opportunities to Buffalo's youth, and promoting our local food system. Gobike Buffalo is working to foster bicycle culture and improve the local conditions for bicycling by creating healthy, environmentally sustainable, community friendly transportation options region wide. The classic ride is approximately 35 miles and participants will travel from Buffalo's west side, touring WNY's gorgeous urban and rural farm country, and finish with a delicious barbeque and celebration at Oles Family Farm in Alden, NY. New this year, the Urban Farm tour will highlight urban growing spaces and culminate at Community Beer Works on Buffalo's west side.
Set Up volunteers should be prepared to work from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (as needed). After these times, volunteers are welcome to participate in the event. Sorry, set up volunteers may not participate in the ride!! Set up volunteers are welcome to join in the local food celebration. Meal included with shift. Volunteers are not to consume alcohol until after their shift is completed.

Important: PLEASE CAR POOL. Parking at Oles is extremely limited. If you can find a ride to Oles, you may choose to take the buses back to Niagara St after the event concludes. Please make sure you tell your lead if you intend to use the bus service.
Tasks
- Set up banquet tables and chairs, heaters, changing area, and food service area
- Cover tables in butcher paper
- Shuck corn
- Set up event signage and trash collection areas
- Set up bar
- Set up merch tables
- Manage parking
- Monitor trash collection for first half of event
- Check with lead before leaving
