RAHAMA, or Resources and Help Against Marital Abuse is a non-profit founded on Islamic principles dedicated to supporting women and children who are victims of domestic violence. We are looking for socially aware and culturally competent individuals as many of our clients are from the immigrant and refugee communities.
RAHAMA is looking for someone to help pickup and deliver furniture. At times furniture is quite heavy and would require carrying them up the stairs. This would count as a community hours if you need them. This volunteer opportunity does not require much and we would need you to be available for at least 2 hours.
Due to the nature of our work, all volunteers are required to undergo a background and reference check. Volunteers will be contacted on a case-by-case basis. Please submit a short personal statement about how you would be a good fit for this volunteering opportunity to reema@rahama.org.
