Volunteer: Volunteer- Service Learners

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is dedicated to providing immediate, effective, and comprehensive employment services to men and women with recent criminal convictions. Our vision is that anyone with a recent criminal history who wants to work has the preparation and support needed to find a job and stay connected to the workforce

Purpose/objective:

CEO Buffalo is seeking responsible and motivated volunteers/ Service- Learners to join our team and assist us with in office administrative duties and program development.

Key responsibilities

Assist with light filing and potentially, other office related tasks Update Office Newsletters Create and coordinate workshops and training sessions for participants and staff Use social media and other marketing tools to highlight successes within our participants Work closely with program participants to understand their needs and experience Work closely with VISTA member on capacity building

Qualifications:

Strong communication skills Strong organization skills Reliable and able to complete tasks on a deadlines Desire and ability to work with a diverse group of people, particularly minority groups Proficient computer skills: Google Suite & Microsoft Suite, and internet applications Professional integrity, ethics and confidentiality are paramount.
