A great way to interact with wonderful visitors from our community and all over the world!  These volunteers operate both the full-size 1916 carrousel and the 1930s kiddie carrousel. Ensure an educational and safe ride for all visitors.  1916 #1 Special Carrousel operators must be 18 or older.  Kiddie Carrousel operators must be 16 or older. Run the 4 rides in our Kiddieland Testing Park exhibit.  Helicopter operators must be 18 or older; operators for the other 3 rides must be 16 or older.

Want to learn more about the museum and help others? Docents are trained tour guides that provide fun and educational experiences for groups. Standard tours last 45 minutes, and docents must go through a training process before conducting their first tour. The training is available at your own pace. Tours groups include but aren't limited to: school groups, organizational groups, and adult bus tours. Additionally, docents can interact with walk-in visitors throughout the museum to interpret the factory’s history. Flexible hours based on tour schedule.

Special Events Volunteers help the museum during specific events. Volunteers of all ages, skill levels, and abilities are encouraged to volunteer. Hours vary and are focused on specific events. They assist at various events including as Halloween Spooktacular, Lantern Tours, Santa on the Carousel, Birthday parties and other events. Tasks can include: operating rides, managing games, taking pictures, set up, clean up, conducting raffles, directing parking and more. The schedule is very flexible and 

Join our maintenance crew today! We offer free coffee every Monday and Friday. We are looking for volunteers with all ranges of skills to help keep the museum safe. Help the museum with upkeep and maintenance activities, including carpentry and painting. Upkeep includes our amusement rides, our histroic building, and exhibits. Mondays and Fridays 9AM-2PM.
