Volunteers are required to attend training, and sign-up to do the research at Reinstein Woods. All are outdoors, except where noted. Seasonal Position. Here is a list of our current projects: Frog-Watch USA: March through August, after sunset. Monitor different frog and toad sounds. Project BudBurst: March through July and September through November. Record first signs of a bud, flower, fruit, leaf, and fall leaf of six different plants and trees. Hummingbirds at Home: March through June (inside activity). Monitor hummingbird activity at feeders from inside/outside the center. Project Firefly Watch: June through September, after sunset. Record firefly activity at specific sites in the preserve. Project Feeder-Watch: November through March (inside activity).
