Who We Are

Buffalo Go Green, Inc. (BGG) is a minority and veteran founded urban agriculture non-profit organization committed to promoting wellness by targeting the social determinants of health in marginalized communities. Our programming is embedded in Buffalo’s East Side, home to a disproportionately high proportion of minorities, and where generations of discriminatory policies and practices have resulted in high rates of unemployment and poverty. Driven by food apartheid, these neighborhoods often lack access to affordable, healthy food options, contributing to concerning rates of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and other related issues.

What We Do

BGG provides services and training to under-served populations throughout Western New York while helping to develop young minds to become leaders in Green Industries and Agriculture. We also fight food injustice and provide fresh produce, food and meals to the underserved population in our region.
