The Big Easy in Buffalo

The mission of The Big Easy in Buffalo is to connect Louisiana performers to the Greater Buffalo NY community through live performances and community engagement.  Now in our 16^th season, thousands of students, hundreds of local professional musicians, and countless audience members have experienced this unique American music.

Each year we bring multiple Louisiana-based bands to the area for free and low cost public performances. While these artists are in town, we engage them with local professional and student musicians, including paid gigs for local bands to open the shows (often with the added benefit of receiving feedback from the visiting artists), Q&A sessions between the local and national musicians on career development, and in-school sessions with local music students.
