Western New York Association of Blind Athletes (WNYABA) is dedicated to empowering blind and visually impaired individuals in the Western New York region through the transformative power of adaptive sports. Our mission is to create a supportive and inclusive community that fosters personal growth, independence, and a sense of achievement for individuals facing visual challenges. At WNYABA, we are committed to breaking down barriers and expanding horizons by providing a wide range of opportunities for blind and visually impaired individuals to engage in adaptive sports. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to enhance physical fitness, build self-confidence, and promote social connections, all while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, determination, and resilience. WNYABA enables blind and visually impaired athletes to participate in the sports they love. Through the cooperation of local partners, we make it possible for blind athletes in Western New York to attend tournaments, meets and conferences across the country. We host teams comprised of blind athletes from all levels and introduce them to both Paralympic and non-Paralympic adaptive sports.
