Who We Are
Lighthouse Guild is the leading not-for-profit healthcare organization dedicated to supporting people with vision loss. Our mission is to provide exceptional services that inspire people who are visually impaired to attain their goals.
Lighthouse Guild believes there are no limits for people who are blind or visually impaired. We provide essential health care services ranging from eye exams to mental health support, intensive community-based programs for youth and older individuals, and training for all on critical skills and technology. Our impact reaches far beyond our NYC home with tele-support, virtual training for individuals and professionals, and groundbreaking research studies.
The Adult Day Health Care Programs provide comprehensive health care (nursing care, medication assistance, therapies and personal care) in a day full of activities for people with vision loss as well as diagnosed chronic medical conditions. Snacks, a hot lunch, and transportation are included. These services are available in Latham, Buffalo, and Manhattan.
What We Do
GuildCare is a medical model adult day program. We offer comprehensive healthcare and a full day of activities. Our team includes registered nurses, licensed therapists, a medical social worker, a vision rehabilitation specialist and a registered dietician.
