The Bits and Bytes STEM Foundation provides equitable access to high-quality STEM learning for underserved youth—especially girls, and BIPOC youth —by addressing racial and gender disparities and partnering with schools and community organizations to create meaningful opportunities.
What We Do
The Bits and Bytes STEM project is a transformative, traveling initiative offering hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, math, and computer science) experiences for students in grades PreK-12. Active in schools, afterschool settings, summer programs, and community centers, the program uses evidence-based curricula aligned with New York State Education Department (NYSED) learning standards for computer science and digital literacy. Launched as a pilot in 2023 as Bits and Bytes STEM Project by Families Aimed Toward Excellence FATE. The program prioritizes education, empowerment, and equity by reducing travel and cost barriers for students with a priority for out-of-school time.
