The Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County

Who We Are

Our mission at The Child Advocacy Program (CAP) is to end child abuse in Chautauqua County. When abuse occurs, CAP coordinates a community response to bring healing, hope and justice to these children and families. Our vision is to see a community full of healthy, happy children.

What We Do

The Child Advocacy Program (CAP) is a trauma-informed, non-profit agency that supports a team approach to child physical and sexual abuse allegations.  CAP brings agencies together in a child-friendly setting that

  • Is physically and psychologically safe for the child
  • Reduces the number of times a child is interviewed
  • Lessens the trauma experienced by child victims and non-offending caregivers
  • Holds individuals accountable for their victimization of children

CAP brings together under one roof:

  • Counseling Services
  • Child Protective Services (CPS)
  • Medical Services
  • District Attorney's Office
  • Advocacy Services
  • Local, County & State Law Enforcement
