We prevent child abuse, maltreatment and childhood exposure to domestic violence before it happens. Because abuse can never be undone, science proves that. Lots of agencies try to help abused kids. We try to keep them from getting abused in the first place. 

We operate the leading website on the issues of child abuse and domestic violence that educates thousands of people each week, and helps survivors find community, context and healing. We teach legislators and communities about preventing, rather than responding to, abuse, and we do what needs to be done for them to adopt solutions that work.
