Who We Are

Urban Christian Ministries is a non-profit, tax exempt, non-denominational Christian home missionary organization founded in 1970, committed to serving youth and their families in the inner city of Buffalo. For over 44 years, UCM has worked in the area of youth development and providing youth services through innovative programs that provide life changing experiences.

What We Do

Our Mission:

Impacting our youth and communities for Christ!

As we look around, it is clear to see that our youth are living in the midst of crisis and turmoil. From our young people’s perspective, there is no vision of hope. They need to realize that there are people, churches and agencies such as UCM, that have a heart for them and the resources and services to help make their present and future situation better.
Our ministry continues to teach and equip youth with essential Christ-centered life skills, thereby leading to the development of a positive, successful adult lifestyle.

LEGACY After School Program:

Our after school program for children ages 5-12 is designed to go beyond homework help. Through projects, crafts, and guest speakers, we are increasing student's social awareness, daily living skills and service in the community. Our programs seek to develop Christian character within our students that will give them the faith foundation that will serve them for life.
