What We Do
The Main House Summer Estate at Knox Farm State Park is managed by The Friends of Knox Farm in partnership with New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. All proceeds from rentals of the Main House are used to preserve and renovate this amazing Summer Estate.
This historic treasure was the summer home of the renowned Knox Family until it was purchased by NYS to be enjoyed as a state park. The Colonial Revival style home was designed by Architects Frank Bell Meade and James Montgomery Hamilton in a simple classic design which exudes restrained elegance. The two story Main House is 14,000 square feet and sits on 633 acres. The first floor rooms offer unparalleled grace and charm which are used for events, with ancillary rooms upstairs.
This unique venue can be rented for weddings, corporate events, private parties, and fundraising events May through October; it is closed for the winter months.
