Our Food Pantry services the local community around NACS.
People residing within 14207 or 14216 zip codes can come in once a calendar month and receive food, based on the income limits set forth by the Food Bank of WNY. Our Food Pantry is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am - 1pm.
Once a month, typically around the third Thursday of that given month, we receive our food pantry delivery. The date set in this listing is tentative, and will be updated once the delivery is confirmed. Please recheck the listing, or contact us at NACS for definite dates.
This is a very physically demanding job which requires the ability to lift at least 50lbs. The typical process to unloading the delivery is as follows:
- Unloading the items from the truck onto the cart(s)
- Wheeling the cart(s) upstairs
- Unloading the cart(s)
- Sorting the items into the correct locations following the "First in, First Out" method
The more hands on deck, the merrier! If you wish to come and help out as a group, we would be more than welcoming.
