November is Native American Heritage Month!
Come out and show your support of Indigenous Peoples', whether you are Indigenous, or Non, we welcome people of all cultures.
The itinerary for the day's events are as follows:
- Native American Marketplace (from 2pm - 9pm)
- Wellness & Community Fair (2pm - 4:30pm)
- Potluck Dinner (at 5pm)
- Traditional Haudenosaunee "Reunion" Social Dance (6:15pm - 9pm)
This is a Reunion social, because we are inviting anyone that has ever stepped through our doors here at NACS to come on through, and join in the celebration of Native heritage, of NACS, and wellness. Even if you have never stopped by, we would love to meet you!
The help that would be needed for this event are as follows:
- Setting up the space, moving tables & chairs per the floor plan
- Escorting craft & wellness vendors to their space & helping them unload, if needed.
- Assist with registration
- Maintaining coffee and/or other refreshments
- Greeting community members & visitors
- Help with transition from the Wellness fair into dinner and then the social dance
- Take care of any spills, restocking supplies, general maintenance
- Clean up after the event
Anyone that helps out with this event is more than welcomed to join in the social dance as well! We look forward to any helping hands.
