Hello Buffalo and Batavia! The UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS ARTS ASSOCIATION seeks volunteers to help prepare and fill art kits for use in their ARTcovz® program.
ARTcovz® is a program of the University Heights Arts Association that produces, packages and disseminates art-related sampler packets through our unique dispensers. Each kit contains directions and enough materials for a single project, such as a drawing or painting lesson, craft project, haiku lesson, or music sampler. The UHAA also grows, harvests, illustrates and packages gardening seeds to place in the ARTcovz®, along with a small, paintable planter made from recycled materials. ARTcovz® kiosks placed in community spaces dispense the free projects.
This event will benefit disabled populations served by the Independent Living-Genesee, in Batavia, New York. We invite participation from:
1. Businesses & non-profits willing to host or sponsor an ARTcovz® dispenser
2. Artists wiling to contribute project ideas
3. Volunteers (students, children, families or anyone else) willing to package projects at a Potluck Packaging Event
4. Contributors willing to donate supplies such as paper, clay, colored pencils, craft items, etc.to be converted into ARTcovz® projects.

Both skilled and non-skilled volunteers are welcome. Volunteers willl either prepare materials or fill kits. Specific skills may include tracing, cutting, folding and separating materials, Volunteers will be given a set of simple instructions to follow.
