Looking for something to do on Saturday, August 12th? Consider assisting the University Heights Arts Association (UHAA) at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Buffalo where we will host our fourth annual ARTfest.
This year's event, a celebration of our ARTcovz® Program, which converts discarded and recyclable items into free art projects that are packaged and then given for free to the community through ARTcovz® dispensers.
ARTfest will feature a picnic in and around the UHAA Sculpture Garden, each of 15 make-and-take art projects plus open art drawing, painting and sculpture. Live music and poetry readings will be featured. Children and families are welcome.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to:
1) set up/clean up and pack tents, tables, chairs and projects before and after the event
2) assist visitors with free make-and-take art activities
3) assist at picnic tables
No art-related experience is necessary but will certainly be welcomed.
TO PARTICIPATE: Telephone us at 833-6260 or email: information@uhartsgroup.com to register with us. Volunteers will meet us at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at 10:00 a.m. to set up
