Buffalo Prep is looking for volunteers to become mentors for the Buffalo Prep Mentor Me Program, an 18-month program that creates and supports mentoring relationships between working professionals and Buffalo Prep students during their senior year of high school through their first semester of college.
Mentors will develop a positive and impactful relationship with students, sharing their professional and life experiences to guide students in setting goals and supporting them during challenges at this critical time of growth in their lives, helping students to maximize their full potential.
Role of the Mentor
- Assist students in their transition from high school to post-secondary education
- Help scholars set goals and encourage achievement of those goals
- Build a relationship with mentee by planning and participating in activities
- Provide advice, guidance, and support as needed
- Serve as a positive role model
