Position Overview:
WHJESP is seeking a passionate and proactive Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator to support our mission of providing educational and sports programming to youth across our community. This volunteer will help drive fundraising initiatives, support donor engagement, and assist with special event campaigns and sponsorship outreach. Ideal candidates will have prior experience with fundraising, event planning, or community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and special events

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local businesses, donors, and sponsors

  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities, including grants and in-kind donations

  • Collaborate with WHJESP staff to create outreach materials and donor communications

  • Track donor contributions and maintain accurate fundraising records

  • Help coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including setup, volunteer assignments, and post-event follow-up

  • Represent WHJESP at community events and networking opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some prior experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or event planning

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable making donor or sponsor outreach calls and presentations

  • Organized and self-motivated with attention to detail

  • Passion for youth development, education, and community impact

  • Ability to commit at least 5–10 hours per month
