Purpose/objective: Supports the ACCESS Center Service Navigator by providing direct service assistance with the inventory of food by stocking and assembling food boxes for clients at monthly food distributions.
Location: Throughout Allegany County. Main office is at the Belmont ACCESS Center, 84 Schuyler Street, Belmont, NY
Key responsibilities: Support the Service Navigator by completing documentation, stocking and sorting of food on tables, packaging food boxes and delivery to clients, and by conducting intakes with mobile market participants.
Qualifications:
- Desire to support, and ability to demonstrate, an understanding and agreement with the agency vision, mission and project goals.
- Ability to communicate in a wide variety of situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat colleagues, staff and program participants with respect.
- Ability to accept supervision.
Time commitment: One or two times per month, hours from set up to tear down, 1pm to 6pm
Training/support provided: ACCORD Corporation New Staff Orientation, one-to-one mentoring with program staff and managers. On-going support provided through face-to-face coaching meetings with the Service Navigator.
