Special Event Volunteer
Throughout the year Explore & More hosts special events to raise funds that support our mission. Special Event Volunteers aid in the set up, clean up, and facilitation of the event. With your hard work at our special events, they are a huge success!
Reports to:
Volunteer Coordinator, Special Event Coordinator and any staff member assisting with the event
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with clean up and set up of Special Events
- Aid children and families with various activities including but not limited to boarding a truck, locating parking, answering questions, monitoring a bounce house, guiding costumed characters, and taking pre-paid admission tickets
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable service at every interaction
- Assist with the preparation of materials needed for special events
Skills and Qualifications
- Reliable “team player”
- Outgoing and pleasant attitude toward staff, students, and visitors
- Ability to lift 10 lbs.
- A professional and positive approach to volunteering
- Must possess good communication and organization skills

* We strongly encourage Special Event Volunteers to work both during the event and before or after. We love to see our Special Event Volunteers more than once a year! We encourage you to sign up for more than one event or consider our other volunteer opportunities as well.
