10th Annual Elephant Run

The Elephant Run is held in honor of Marcena Lozano who was diagnosed with transposition of the great arteries at birth. At 13, Marcena was told that she needed a heart transplant. At the age of 23, she was told that she needed another. Tragically, Marcena passed on August 31, 2005. All proceeds from the Elephant Run benefit the Marcena Lozano Donate Life Scholarship Fund that awards scholarships to organ transplant recipients enrolled in college. Volunteers are needed to help out with various tasks throughout the event.
