Did you know that more than 11 million older adults live alone? They may be facing isolation due to a lack of support, location or chronic health issues. Our goal is to reach out to those who may not have a chance to get out of their homes and show them that people care.
The Erie County Council on Elder Abuse hopes to distribute at least 3,000 cards and letters on June 15th to recipients of Meals on Wheels, survivors of elder abuse and other older adults who could use a note to brighten their day.
Write a letter or card or draw a picture to make someone's day! If you would like to learn more about the Caring Cards Challenge contact Katie Earl at 853-3087 ext. 221 or at kearl@elderjusticeny.org. Please mail all Caring Cards to 438 Main Street, Suite 1200, Buffalo, NY 14202.
