Reporting to the Executive Director, the Finance Committee Member will help record International Child Advancement's financial accounts and records. The candidate will research and analyze financial information to help the organization make well informed decisions, assist with monthly reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and projections.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Check account records for accuracy and maintain a system for organizing ICA's documents
- Prepare, distribute invoices and receipts to Educational Sponsors/donors
- Coordinate billing questions/answers from Educational Sponsors/donors
- Prepare, review and distribute monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations
- Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
- Prepare yearly financial statement to be placed on our website
Skills and Specifications
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access)
- Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal)
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Education and Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited institution preferred
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in an Accounting, Bookkeeping role
• Experience in administrative functions
