The Foundry is seeking skilled individuals with experience in construction, building and the trades to assist with our monthly Service Saturday projects.
Service Saturday's are held on the second Saturday of each month and are an opportunity for members of the general public to learn new skills as they help us improve our building and gardens, maintain our makerspaces and complete our community building projects. Skilled individuals can contribute their labor and expertise to the projects of the day or assist unskilled volunteers in completing tasks.
This January is our first service Saturday! Volunteers will help us to improve our building and makerspace facilities which serve youth students, entrepreneurs and adult learners by:
- Helping to organize our WoodShop
- Preparing space for our large textile weaving loom
- Painting the staircase to our newly renovated 2nd floor
We recommend that volunteers dress warm and wear clothes that they do not mind getting dirty. The Foundry is heated but some parts of the building are drafty.
Parking is available in our lot and the street.
