The Coldest Night of the Year 5K winter walk and will be on February 26th in Delaware Park on Ring Road. It is a 5K in February, yes you read that right, to bring awareness to the harsh Buffalo weather our homeless population endures. This is the first time Compass House is participating in CNOY!
The starting location is Amherst-Colvin Green Space and the schedule is that the event starts at 4pm and goes until 7pm. We are going to have volunteers showing up around 2pm to help with setting up and the route. We would like for volunteers to stay the whole time from 2-7:30 to help with packing up after the walk, which should only take a half hour. If volunteers can only come from 2-4pm for example, that is not a problem at all, we are grateful for any time you can volunteer.
