Description

The YMCA Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day tradition that attracts runners of all ages and abilities to Buffalo, NY each year. Participants travel an 8k course that begins on Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo and finishes downtown near the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Proceeds raised support YMCA Buffalo Niagara programs that empower youth, improve community health, and ensure access for all.

The YMCA Turkey Trot’s tradition of excellence relies on our team of much needed volunteers to make our annual event a success. Certain roles require that anyone under the age of 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All volunteers receive a complimentary YMCA Turkey Trot T-shirt on the day of the assignment.

Pre-race opportunities include packet preparation and packet distribution. Race Day opportunities include packet distribution, water station set-up and distribution, course/intersection marshals, post-race refreshments set-up and distribution, shuttle bus controllers and race course and finish line clean up.
