We are actively seeking compassionate and dependable volunteers aged 15+ to serve on an ongoing basis at HighPointe on Michigan, one of Kaleida Health's long-term care facilities. Volunteers make a huge difference to our residents and staff! Volunteers can expect to work with the Activities Department and help with games, crafts, events, and 1-to-1 interaction to improve residents' social stimulation and help them have fun! This is an excellent opportunity for retirees looking to give back, get more engaged, or share their knowledge with the community. It's also great for students who are considering a career in the medical field or those looking for service-learning hours. We ask that volunteers be willing to commit to six months, with a minimum of 10hrs per month.
HighPointe on Michigan is a 300-bed facility dedicated to sub-acute rehabilitation and traditional long-term care. It includes a floor for memory care, a physical therapy department, a ventilator unit, and a pediatric unit.
